Phil Roche

With over 30 years of experience in the photography industry, Phil Roche, otherwise known as "Photo Phil," is your friendly neighborhood photographer. Phil started formal photography when he was in middle school, and continued throughout high school as well as during his service in the United States Navy. He attended the US Navy's photography school in 1979 and then served on the carrier USS John F. Kennedy and at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Honorably discharged from the Navy, Photo Phil worked as a freelance photographer in Miami, Florida from 1984-2011. During this period, Phil has done work for Badia Spices, The Graham Companies, Cartier, Fisher Island, The Miss Miami Pageant, John-Paul II International Film Festival and others. From 1988-2011 Phil worked at Miami Dade College as the College Photographer which included Miami International Film Festival and Miami International Book Fair. Since moving to the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area in 2011, Phil has fallen in love with the Triangle and genuinely enjoys the opportunity to photograph every aspect of the area. He has also enjoys doing photography work for organizations and events such as the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council, the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, The Knights of Columbus and the YMCA. Photo Phil graduated from William Peace University in May of 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Communication/Graphic Design.
